Web3 Engineering Standards
Resource List: Q2 2023
“The goal is to abstract it all away” Chjango Unchained
If you are building on the Internet you immediately understand that definitions matter because solutions on the Internet do not exist on an island.
The work of the IEEE, IETF, W3C, and others helped build the modern Internet by creating a singular competitive playing field. That foundation rests on the backs of protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, & BGP which allowed for interoperability that all online networks & protocols use today.
The following is a small step on the way to a standards engineering forum that Web3 projects should want to work towards, so the principles of individual sovereignty and security are consistently put into practice.
Standards lead to abstraction and abstraction is the key to adoption.

GOALS:
- ✅ A. Identify resources that seek interoperability, be they on/off-chain (this content)
- ⏳ B. Identify individuals + projects that do interoperability & want standards adoption.
- ✏ C. Raise a forum for these voices with the aim of authoring standards via working groups.
- ✏ D. Raise partnerships with Web2 communities with the aim of bridging off-chain UX/UI standards.
- ✏ E. Raise additional working groups for projects outside engineering which affect future growth.
